To me, public service is a job by people who stand up for others and who quietly do the things that people tend not to think a lot about, from helping returning veterans to siting a state hospital.
This video tells a story about public service and two new friends of mine, Linda Rudometkin and her son, Chad Gierlach.
The message is that public service is about helping people, sometimes one family at a time.
